Once you choose your class and create your character, your mission is to destroy the terrible Lord of Terror. Thanks to that, a new generation of heroes must arise to take their place as protectors of Sanctuary and save their dark fantasy world from evil.
However, the Worldstone, which protected the world against forces of both hell and heaven, has been destroyed. Mephisto, Diablo, and Boal have been defeated.
Diablo III was released 12 years after its predecessor, Diablo II, and the story passed 20 years later. All that shows that Blizzard entertainment has much more than just a good game in their hands. Nowadays, it still has a great number of fans and regular players.
